Red Mountain
Perched on six acres of Red Mountain, staring straight across the valley at Aspen Mountain, this 14,800-square-foot home was built to hold a view, not compete with it. Within the soaring, chevron-shaped architecture, we chose low-slung, curvaceous furnishings in a quiet, monochromatic palette that lets the interiors and the view play off one another rather than compete. Our client's remarkable art collection, from Ellsworth Kelly to Ruth Asawa, is woven through the home not as a gallery but as a reflection of a warm, family-driven life—nothing too precious, even the pieces that are. The result is a house that feels as grounded and understated as the mountains outside its windows.
